J. B. Baxter, 68, of rural Perry, formerly of Astoria, died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 1985, at Illini Hospital in Pittsfield.
He was born July 10, 1916, in Astoria, the son of Dr. Harry T. and Bernice G. (Snedeker) Baxter. He married Mary Katheryn Foster May 25, 1938, in Lewistown. She survives.
He was preceded in death by one daughter.
He was a retired farmer.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria with Rev. Mark Dickerson officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
