Henry W. Baum, 76, of 2626 Krum St., Alton, died at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1975, at Alton Memorial Hospital after an illness of one month.
He was a foreman at Laclede Steel for 39 years before retiring 13 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary A. Tribby, on Jan. 18, 1958.
Survivors include two sons, Wm. H. of Kirkwood, Mo., and John C. of Alton; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, John Baum of Astoria; and one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Sayrs of Rushville.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Main Street Baptist Church with Rev. Basil Williams officiating. Burial was in the Upper Alton Cemetery.
