VeteranJames Baumgardner Of Vermont Dies

James Ervin Baumgardner, 63, of Vermont, died Tuesday, June 16, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born in Macomb on Oct. 15, 1906, a son of John W. and Stella Matilda Dye Baumgardner, and had never married. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three brothers, Walter of Round Lake, John of Altona and George of Galesburg, and three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Sail of Peoria, Mrs. Catherine Thurman of Moline and Mrs. Betty Cigan of Jim Falls, Wis. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Baumgardner was a member of the Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m., at the Kost Memorial Home, with the Rev. D. L. Runyon officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
