Astorian’s Nephew Dies Sunday

Richard A. Brown, 25, of Bushnell, died at the McDonough District hospital in Macomb Sunday evening, following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Brown was born July 28, 1935, in Astoria to Harry and Ethel Foster Brown. He attended Good Hope and Bushnell schools. He was married to Sandra Taylor at Good Hope on May 25, 1956. He was employed at the Illinois Corrugated Company in Bushnell.

Surviving in addition to his mother and his widow are two children, Vickie, 3, and Ricky, 2; one sister, Mrs. Martha Shepler of Bushnell; a half-sister, Mrs. Carol Trone of Smithfield; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Foster of Bardolph. He was a nephew of Russell and Perry Brown of Astoria.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Martin Funeral Home in Bushnell. Burial was in the Bushnell cemetery.

Those from here who attended the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hamblin and Junior Brown.
