Clarence G. Bair, 82, passed away early Tuesday morning in Schmitt Memorial Hospital in Beardstown following a one year’s illness.
A lifetime Astoria-Bader area resident, he was born Sept. 5, 1878 near Astoria, a son of Solomon and Elizabeth Meyers Bair, he was married to Lillian Siders on July 26, 1902 and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Alfred and Russell, both of Peoria, 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Shawgo Memorial Home. The Rev. Ronald Bula will officiate and burial will be in the Astoria cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will most friends from 7-9 p.m. this evening.
