WILLIAM F. BADER

W. F. Bader, Grain Dealer, Dies Monday

William F. Bader, 87, of Vermont, a grain dealer for more than 50 years in this area, died early Monday in the Mason District Hospital in Havana where he had been a patient for several months. He had been ill for nearly a year.

Mr. Baer was the owner of the Bader and Company Elevators in Astoria, Vermont, Walnut Grove, Rushville, Adair, Prairie City and Swan Creek.

Born on July 7, 1872, near Ipava, a son of B. F. and Azuba (Farr) Bader, he was married to Elizabeth Gardner in 1893. She died in 1941.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lenore Richey and Miss Christine Bader, both of Glendale, Calif., a son, B. B. Bader of Vermont, and two grandchildren.

Mr. Bader had been a member of both the Vermont Lodge A.F. & A.M. and Crescent Chapter, O.E.S., for more than 50 years.

He was a member of the Christian church in Vermont, where funeral rites were conducted this afternoon by the Rev. Ira K. Hall. Burial was in the Vermont cemetery.
