Mrs. Fannie Beck Called By Death Funeral Friday

Mrs. Fannie A. Beck, died at her home in Astoria Thursday, aged 53 years, 9 months and 18 days. The deceased had been an invalid for many years, due to paralysis.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gruber, and was born in Lancaster, Penn., March 9, 1870. She came with her parents to Illinois, locating in Astoria in 1881. The deceased was united in marriage to Samuel Beck, August 24, 1897. To this union two children were born, one died in infancy. Pearl has remained at home and cared for her mother through her long illness.

Early in life Mrs. Beck united with the Church of the Brethren and lived a faithful and constant Christian life. Besides her daughter, she is survived by four brothers, Jos. Gruber, Levi Gruber, Chris Gruber of Astoria and William of Hershey, Penn., and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Benton, Mrs. Lizzie Walters of Astoria and Mrs. Mary Ramel of Nora, Nebr.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Astoria Church of the Brethren, conducted by Rev. A. L. Sellers. Interment in the South Fulton cemetery.
