She was born July 26, 1936, in Table Grove, a daughter of J. Willis and Nelda Branson Krider. She married Rodney Aten on July 13, 1955, in Ipava. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Debby (and Lance) Horwedel of Lewistown; one brother, Richard (and Sheila) Krider of Vermont; one sister, Jane (and Barney) Ogden of Allerton, Iowa; three granddaughters, Marcy Jo Sparks, Heather (and David) Segil and Tara Horwedel; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Dwayne Aten; and one daughter, Diana Jo Confer.
She was a homemaker. She was a waitress, owned her own business, The Clay Hut in Ipava and later worked as a Pharmacy Tech at Wal-Mart in Macomb, retiring in 1999.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorials in her memory may be made to the Ipava Fire and Rescue Squad.
