She was born March 11, 1933, in Macomb, the daughter of George and Gayle Hardesty Waters. She married Donald Ames on Aug. 23, 1951, in Ipava. He preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 2015.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Guy Waters.
Surviving are one son, Gary (and Sherry) Ames of Table Grove; one brother, Larry (and Carolyn) Waters of Table Grove; four grandchildren, Jesse Ames, Stephanie (and Jerry) Friday, Mackie (and Bonnie) Davenport and Kenny (and Amber) Davenport; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a farm wife and retired from Table Grove State Bank.
She was a member of West Prairie Presbyterian Church and Table Grove Legion Auxiliary.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Mike Ulmer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be held at Harris Cemetery in Table Grove.
