Wanda AllgaierWanda R. Allgaier, 88, of Rushville died at 11:35 p.m. Feb. 13, 2010, at St. John’s Hospice in Springfield.

She was born May 26, 1921, in Macomb, a daughter of Russell Aaron and Marie Louise Thrasher Ritchey. She married Carl Allgaier on Jan. 1, 1941, in Chicago. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Leona M. White of Fresno, Calif.; two sons, Dickie L. (and Traude) Allgaier of Homosassa, Fla., and Ronald J. (and Nancy) Allgaier of Oakbrook Terrace; one sister, Bonnie Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie Andersen; and three brothers, Robert Ritchey, William Ritchey and Benny Ritchey.

She operated an accounting service and was a tax consultant. She worked for the Arnold and Arnold Law Office for many years and owned and operated an upholstery business.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
