Wayne A'Hearn

Wayne Lowell A'Hearn, 91, of Canton died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg.

He was born June 3, 1914, in Union Township, Fulton County, the son of James and Maggie Effland A'Hearn. He married Marjibelle Utsinger in Astoria. She died Feb. 6, 1966. He then married Eunice Baker-Goudy in Davenport, Iowa. She died July 19, 1996.

He also was preceded in death by two sisters.

Surviving are one son, Jesse of Galesburg; one daughter, Shirley (and Ted) Nehrbass of Sparta, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was a farmer in rural Ellisville and Avon. He owned and operated Bradford Commission Firm at Bushnell Stockyards. He later was a buyer for Hygrade and Oscar Mayer Companies until his retirement.

Services were held Tuesday at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with Rev. David Eden officiating. Burial was in Avon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg.
