Olenzia L. "Andy" Anderson, 96, formerly of Mount Sterling and Canton, died at 1:50 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Indian Creek Nursing Home in Overland Park, Kan.
He was born Oct. 20, 1908, in Browning. He married Nettie J. Smythe on Sept. 9, 1930, in Eureka. She died June 24, 2002.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Joretta Meyer of Jackson, Miss., and Sue Ellen (and Gerald) Braner of Beardstown; one son, Thomas (and Delores) of Overland Park; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was a car salesman for Lock's Auto Co. in Canton for several years. He owned and operated Anderson Pontiac in Beardstown for several years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Sterling.
Graveside services were held Tuesday in Astoria Cemetery with Rev. Robert Einhouse officiating. Hendricker Funeral Home in Mount Sterling was in charge of arrangements.
