Nettie Anderson, 89, of Overland Park, Kan., formerly of Mount Sterling and Canton, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2002, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park.
She was born Oct. 15, 1912, in Eureka, a daughter of Frank B. and Ula Pearl Davidson Smythe. She married O.L. "Andy" Anderson on Sept. 9, 1930, in Eureka. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Joretta (and Emile Jr.) Meyer of Jackson, Miss., and Sue Ellen (and Gerald) Braner of Beardstown; one son, Thomas (and Delores) of Overland Park; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, one brother and five sisters.
She had attended Eureka College for 1-1/2 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mount Sterling.
Graveside services were held Friday at Astoria Cemetery with Collis Trone officiating. Hendricker Funeral Home in Mount Sterling was in charge of arrangements.
