Almedia E. Attkisson, 81, of Ipava died at 9:26 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2002, at her home.
She was born Nov. 29, 1920, in Pulaski, Tenn., a daughter of Dudley Jackson and Lochia Pearl Pierce McNeese. She married Charles Attkisson on July 13, 1946, in Spencer Hill, Tenn. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Kenneth (and Patti) of Hanna City; two daughters, Janice Attkisson of Houston, Texas, and Glynna Attkisson of Canton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harvey McNeese, Herbert (and Inez) McNeese and Cecil (and Janice) McNeese, all of Pulaski; and three sisters, Laura Uselton and Mrs. James (Robbie) Edwards of Pulaski and Ledye Sellers of Columbia, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
She was a member of Astoria Church of Christ.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Ipava Cemetery with Mike Hesterman and Kenneth Attkisson officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava.
