Mabel Louise Allen, 70, of rural Adair, died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 1995, at her home.
She was born June 14, 1925, in Eldorado Township, McDonough County, a daughter of John and Florence Sharpe Heaton. She married Bernard Allen on Dec. 31, 1948, in Industry. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Roger of Collinsville; one daughter, Roberta DeMott of Gillette, Wyo.; four grandchildren; and five sisters, Leona Henry of Plymouth, Jean Gallagher of Macomb, Betty Kost of Tennessee, Ill., Dorla Harman of Industry and Mary Lou Weaver of Colchester.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
She lived all of her married life in New Salem Township in McDonough County.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Chaplain Ron Derrig-Green officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb.
