He was born May 4, 1951, in Canton, a son of Thomas and Mildred “Millie” Kelly Zaborac. He married Diana S. “Dee” Sappington on March 31, 1989. She also preceded him in death.
Surviving are his two children, Kevin (and Gina) Riley of Peoria and Lori (and Tim) Loving of Galesburg; one brother, Edward (and Debra) Zaborac of Wee-Ma-Tuk; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He worked as a math teacher and coach for Elmwood High School and VIT, and retired as the Vocational Director for Illinois River Correctional Center.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Millie and Tom Zaborac Education Fund at Spoon River College or the Dee Zaborac Scholarship Fund at Spoon River College.
