Larry D. “Zeke” Zimmerman, 78, of Augusta died March 21, 2016, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
He was born Jan. 12, 1938, in La Harpe, a son of Marion and Lucille Lefler Zimmerman. He married Roxie Powell on Oct. 1, 1960, in Macomb. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Ed of Montgomery, Texas, Dennis of Augusta and Dale (and Amy) of Beardstown; two daughters, Cindy (and Shawn) Hamilton of Augusta and Tammy (and Nick) Cook of Camdenton, Mo.; one brother, Jerry Michelle Zimmerman of Roseville; three sisters, Linda McHone Fowler and Sharon Konkler, both of Macomb, and Sandy Hamm of Industry; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Derrick; and one aunt, Vera Barton.
He attended Bethel Baptist Church, and had been employed by Heinfold Hog Market.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 25, 2016, at Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Pastor Jim Richardson officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in rural Fandon.
