He was born July 10, 1950, in Rushville, a son of Archie Sr. and Zelda Reeder Yates. He married Georgina Claassen, Betty Moore and Doris Breeden Burnett. They all preceded him in death.
He also was preceded in death by one brother, Albert “Robert” Yates.
Surviving are one daughter, Holly Acheson (and Alan) of Rushville; one stepdaughter, Rosa Wilson; one sister, Nancy Guilliams of Effingham; three nephews; one niece; one great-nephew; 11 cousins; and three grandchildren.
He worked at various jobs in the area and retired from D & D Enterprise in Beardstown.
Cremation has been accorded. Private inurnment will be in Rushville City Cemetery. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
