JEANNETTE (STUMP) YEAGER

Jeannette Yeager, 71, of Beardstown, died Friday afternoon, Jan. 10, 1997, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Jan. 14, 1926, in Crescent City, the daughter of John and Nellie Hardwood Stump. She married Roy Yeager on Oct. 13, 1967, in Pontiac. He preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Surviving are seven sons, Jack Burnett of Beardstown, Jerry Burnett and Karen of Ratcliff, Ky., James Burnett of Mt. Sterling, Ronald Yeager of Atlanta, Ga., Bill Yeager and Lela of West Chicago, Roy Yeager and Jeannie of Sugar Grove, and George Yeager and Mary of Plano; four daughters, Judy Ratcliff of Table Grove, Mrs. Larry (Jean) Lyons of Virginia, Ill., Mrs. Rick (Tammy) Fretueg of Beardstown, and Mrs. Ronald (Katherine) Hoffman of Cottage Grove, Minn.; 32 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Clayton of Winchester and Alieta Leatherby of Ft. Myers, Fla.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beardstown. She was employed for many years by Illinois Glove Factory in both Pontiac and Beardstown until her retirement.

Services were held Tuesday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown with Elder Kenny Alcorn of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial was in the Beardstown City Cemetery.
