Mildred WeberMildred L. Weber, 95, of Lewistown died July 7, 2023, at Courtyard Estates of Farmington where she was a resident.

She was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Ray, a daughter of Lester and Ethel Moore Jones. She married Willard L. Weber on March 28, 1947, in Fairview. He preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 2011.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, one stepson and 10 siblings.

Surviving are three children, Charles (and Dixie) Jones of Abingdon, Shirley (and Dennis) Irwin of Lewistown and Rosemary (and Rick) Henderson of Bryant; one sister, Ruth Lillie of Cuba; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

She worked in the laundry department at the former Clarytona Manor of Lewistown, the Admiral Corporation of Galesburg, the Canton Overall Factory and Kinnamon’s 24 hour of Lewistown.

She was a member of Ozark Mountain Christian Church in Merriam Woods, Mo., and a former member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown. She also was a former member of the Lewistown VFW ladies auxiliary.

Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Brant Reed officiating. Burial of Mildred’s and Willard’s ashes will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the memorial home.

Memorials may be made to the Lions Club, the Operation Comfort Warriors of the American Legion or Traditions Hospice.
