Michael Wear, 72, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, died July 19, 2022, at the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.
He was born Feb. 18, 1950, in Galesburg, a son of Kenneth and Marjorie Leenerts Wear. He married Amy Bucher on June 2, 2000, in Council Bluffs. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Carissa Wear (and fiancé Jason) of Council Bluffs; and four grandchildren, Austin, John, Connor and Iliana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Caleb Wear; and one brother, Joseph Louderback.
He graduated from high school while in Germany. He served in the United States Army. He worked in maintenance at Wal-Mart.
A time of gathering will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Shelter 5, Lake Manawa State Park, Council Bluffs, IA. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is in charge of arrangements.
