She was born Jan. 8, 1934, in Beardstown, a daughter of T. Randall and Mildred Josephine Downs Phelps. She married Russell Leigh Willard on Dec. 7, 1952, in Beardstown. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2012.
Surviving are one daughter, Melanie Willard of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one sister, Linda Lehne of Mount Sterling.
She worked for Ameritech from 1973-93 before retiring.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Joe Eckman officiating. Inurnment will be in the Browning Cemetery.
