She was born July 11, 1915, in Pike County, a daughter of William and Bertha Keith Grimsley. She married Everett Delbert Ward on March 21, 1934, in Pittsfield. He passed away on Nov. 13, 2008.
Surviving are two sons, David C. (and Judy) Ward of Rushville and William E. Ward of Macomb; one daughter, June Haines of Macomb; 18 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Everett Lee Ward and one who died in infancy; 14 brothers and sisters; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
She worked at Stark Brothers Nursery in Illinois, Hills Nursing Home and Snyder’s Nursing Home both in Rushville and Colchester Nursing Home before retiring.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Samuel Taylor Cemetery near Rockport in Pike Co. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
