Gary Waldo Sr.

Gary G. Waldo Sr., 64, of Bushnell died at 9:15 p.m. May 28, 2013, at his home.

He was born May 26, 1949, in Oakford, a son of Wayne C. and Marjorie Hopping Waldo. He married Linda Glover on Jan. 8, 1973, in Rushville.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah (and Jon) Adkins and Marcella Waldo (and Meechie Jones), both of Peoria; two sons, Gary Waldo Jr. (and Windy Crowe) of Harrisburg and Michael Glover (and Becca Neill) of Macomb; one brother, Charles (and Carol) Waldo of Bushnell; seven grandchildren; and one life-long friend, Mary Waldo of Bushnell (with whom he made his home).

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Norman Waldo; and one sister, Sandra Griffin.

He worked for Town of Astoria in the Water Department, drove a school bus for Astoria Community School District, worked for Pioneer Hybrids in Good Hope and farmed with Friends Farms in Havana.

He was a member of Astoria Church of Christ.

Graveside services were held Monday at Oakford Cemetery with Gary Sheets officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
