Charles F. Willmert, 88, of Lewistown died at 7:12 p.m. Dec. 31, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Aug. 6, 1924, in Atlanta, Ill., a son of Jacob and Cora Camper Willmert. He married Camilla Ann Miller on June 26, 1968, in Springfield. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mecia Willmert of Lewistown and Susan (and George) Lang of Dunfermline; two brothers, Frank Willmert of Plymouth, Minn., and Weldon "Pete" Willmert of Lincoln; three sisters, Anita Hopp, Iona Boward and Nola (and Harrison) Turley, all of Lincoln; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one infant son; one daughter, Paulette Worth; one brother; and one sister.

He retired after many years from Sheers Auto in Lincoln.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

Cremation will be accorded. Services were held Monday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Deryck Sonaram officiating.
