Julia WallJulia M. "Judy" Wall, 91, of Rushville died at 12:45 a.m. April 8, 2012.

She was born April 2, 1921, in Holland, Mich., a daughter of Gerrit and Jenny Louwsma Vos. She married Dr. M.H. "Bill" Wall on Sept. 21, 1943, in Holland, Mich. He preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 1997.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Vos; and one sister, Lue VanDyke.

Surviving are three sons, Mark (and Kay) Wall of Eden Prairie, Minn., Eric (and Katie) Wall of Omaha, Neb., and Todd (and Margie) Wall of Narberth, Penn.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She attended Hope College in Holland, Mich., and graduated with her nursing degree from Rush Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago. She was a dental assistant with her husband's practice in Rushville for many years. She also was a real estate agent with Illinois Valley Realty in Rushville.

She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rushville, where she served as an elder, deacon and member of the Sooner Sunday School Class, taught Sunday school, served on the board and as chairperson of the Outreach, Pastor Search and Worship Committees.

She also was a member of PEO, where she was the club historian for 50 years; PRIDE, where she was treasurer for many years; and Culbertson Memorial Hospital Board.

She delivered mobile meals for many years.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rushville with Reverend John Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
