Clarence Ward

Clarence Bernard Ward, 93, of Rushville died at 3:25 p.m. Aug. 6, 2011, at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

He was born Nov. 25, 1917, in Bainbridge Township, Schuyler County, the son of Clarence R. and Elizabeth Keown Ward. He married Catherine Yates on Dec. 3, 1946, in Rushville. She preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 2009.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was a lifelong farmer in Bainbridge Township before retiring.

Services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Rose Ross officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery with military rites conducted by Schuyler Post #4 American Legion and U.S. Army Honors Detail.
