Mary E. Winston, 97, of Browning died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven in Rushville.
She was born Aug. 26, 1905, in Astoria, a daughter of James Buchanan and Harriett Ellen Lighty Miller. She married Ray Winston on Dec. 31, 1921, in Rushville. He died Sept. 8, 1982.
She also was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Surviving is one brother, Fremont (and Christine) Miller of Sun City, Ariz.
She was a member of Central Christian Church in Browning where she was responsible for the communion preparation each Sunday for many years.
Services were held Saturday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.
