CLARA NELL (HAMMOND) WILSON-COCHRAN

Clara Wilson-Cochran

Clara Nell Wilson-Cochran, 74, of Table Grove died at 10:57 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at her residence.

She was born July 22, 1927, in Table Grove, a daughter of Clarence A. and Sarah Nellora Ross Hammond. She married Raymond Wilson on April 4, 1946, in Table Grove. He died Dec. 12, 1989. She then married Philip R. Cochran on Jan. 7, 1995, in Bonita Springs, Fla. He survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Randall (and Margie) Wilson of Pingree, N.D., Richard (and Cheryl) Wilson of Andover, Kan., and Rodney (and Stacy) Wilson of Table Grove; two daughters, Jane (and Doug) Schrimpf of Holts Summit, Mo., and Judi Smith of Jefferson City, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Lenore Smith of Table Grove; one brother, Carroll Hammond of Galesburg; one stepson, Daniel (and Phylis) Cochran of Barrington; one stepdaughter, Robin (and Ronald) Christman of Tipton, Ind.; and three step-grandchildren.

One brother preceded her in death.

She was a member of McDonough District Hospital Ladies Auxiliary in Macomb and Rolling Rivers Camping Club.

She was a member of New Salem Christian Church in Adair and its Christian Women's Fellowship. She also was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bonita Springs, Fla.

She served in the Stevens Ministry Crisis Outreach in Bonita Springs, Fla.

Services were held today at New Salem Christian Church in Adair with Rev. Jim Comstock officiating. Burial was in Harris Cemetery. Kost Memorial Home in Vermont was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to New Salem Christian Church or McDonough District Hospitals Hospice Program.
