Edward G. White, 66, of White Hall, formerly of Table Grove, died at 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2001, in White Hall.
He was born Sept. 16, 1934, in LaPrairie, a son of Edgar and Erma Knight White. He married Peggy Johnson on June 5, 1955, in Table Grove. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Allen (and Peggy Meeks) White of Wood River; three grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Snyder of Rock Island.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
He worked for Amax Coal Co. for 22 years.
He was a member of Astoria Christian Church.
Graveside services were held Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb with Rev. Ron Green officiating. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to McDonough District Hospital or the Heart Fund.
