ELGIN B. WOODDELL JR.

Elgin B. Wooddell, Jr., 74, of Ipava, died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at his home.

He was born June 27, 1925, in Cuba, a son of Elgin and Mable Cramblett Wooddell. He married Clarice Burrows.

Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis (Chuck) Burlingame and Sheila (Steve) Robertson, both of Ipava; four granddaughters; and two sisters, Ruby Tuttle of Canton and Doris (Hank) Jensen of Lamar, Colo.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

He was a farmer, Pleasant Township road commissioner and also a welder at Metropolitan Sanitary District in Canton.

A World War II Navy veteran, he was a member of Lewistown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5001 and a 53-year member of Ipava American Legion Post 5001.

Services were held Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. Damien Spikereit officiating. Burial was in Cuba Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by his American Legion Post.
