Ferne L. Wilson, 78, of Lewistown, died at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at Graham Hospital Extended Care in Canton.
She was born July 24, 1919, in Lewistown, a daughter of Joseph and Rachel Hedden Brush. She married Hubert Wilson at Owensboro, Ky., on May 31, 1944. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Bud (Patricia) Abernathy of Vermont, Mrs. Donals (Sandra) Schappaugh of Forest City, and Mrs. Michael (Rebeca) Schmidt of St. David; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Brush of Lewistown and George Brush of Peoria; two sisters, Ollie Weese of Lewistown and Maxine Wilson of Farmington.
She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Wilson, in 1982, four brothers and one sister.
She was a member of the Cross Roads Free Methodist Church in Lewistown and its Adult Sunday School Class.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Martin Janicke officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
Memorials are suggested to the Cross Roads Free Methodist Church.
