Beverly Joanne Willoughby, 68, of Pekin, died at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 1997, at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria.
She was born May 10, 1929, at Ipava, a daughter of Orlie and Edith Jones Atwater. She married Ray Willoughby in January of 1971. He died in May 1974. She was also preceded in death by her mother.
Survivors include her father of Mount Sterling; one son, Mark Van Etten of Marquette Heights; two daughters, Sue Mahoney of Manito and Linda Pfanz of Morton; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Larry Atwater of Canton; and three sisters, Juanita Clark of Arkansas, Jeanette Hulvey of Mount Sterling and Marsha Salisbury of Centralia, Mo.
She was a unit clerk at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria for 20 years, retiring in 1995.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service was held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava. Interment was at the Ipava Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the the Children’s Hospital of St. Francis.
