Edna Wheeler, 93, of Morton, formerly of Peoria, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 1996, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 11, 1903, in Astoria, a daughter of Adolph and Mary Ellen Salisbury Ruschmeyer. She married Carl. E. Wheeler on Nov. 21, 1921, in Astoria. He died March 11, 1983, in Peoria. One son, Weldon, one sister, and one granddaughter also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Cover of Morton and Zenita Smith of West Alexandria, Ohio; one son, Ralph of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star Peoria Heights Chapter 933.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cumerford-Endsley Memorial Home in Peoria with Rev. Carl J. Bollinger officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the memorial home, with an Eastern Star service at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
