Donald E. Walden, 59, of Jacksonville died Saturday evening, July 15, 1995, at Passavant Hospital.

He was born Nov. 30, 1935, in Rockbridge, a son of Odren and Ruby Leona Fry Walden.

He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Marie Shelton of Astoria, and Debbie Fluery of Indianapolis; one son, Donald Walden of Woodson; six grandchildren; eight brothers, Earl, Herman, Ernest, Lewis and Clyde Walden of Rockbridge, William and Truman Walden of Greenfield, and Paul Walden of Jacksonville; six sisters, Dorothy Campbell, Donna Pitchford, and Jackie McAdams of Greenfield, Opal Lawson of Roodhouse, Wanda Motley of Rockbridge and Patty Adams of Jacksonville, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbur Ray, Everett Leroy, and Carl Richard.

Mr. Walden was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Shields Memorial Home in Greenfield. Burial was in Oak Wood Cemetery.
