Norman Wallace Dies At Age 61

Norman L. Wallace, 61, of Mt. Carmel, formerly of Table Grove, died Thursday, March 22, 1990, in the Wabash Mine at Mt. Carmel.

He was born Jan. 30, 1929, in Chrisman, a son of Victor and Alice Davidson Wallace. He married Jo Anne Howard on Sept. 20, 1958, in Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Blandinsville; two children, Scott Wallace of Peoria and Sara Wallace of Mt. Carmel; and two sisters, Vilna Petticrew of Winter Garden, Fla. and Mary Kitchen of Blandinsville.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Wallace was a general laborer for the Wabash Mine. He was a member of American Legion Post 413 at Table Grove, AF&AM Masonic Lodge No. 939 and Consistory Valley of Peoria.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Table Grove Community Church with Rev. Bruce Peterson officiating. Burial was in the Harris Cemetery.

Kost Memorial Home at Vermont was in charge of arrangments.
