Mrs. Lelia A. Weir, 80, of 741 W. Walnut St., Canton, died at 8:35 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 1981, at her home.
She was born March 27, 1901, in Lewistown, a daughter of John and Ida Turner. She married George M. Weir June 29, 1929, in Peoria. He died Aug. 24, 1976.
She is survived by several cousins.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Canton Rebekah Lodge and had worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. for 43 years. She was also a member of Pioneers of America.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Astoria Cemetery with Rev. Thoburn Enge officiating.
