Len Williams, 62, of Table Grove, died at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 1980, in Snyders Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.
Born Mar. 24, 1917, in Colchester, a son of Len and Mary Miller Williams, he married Eva Williams in 1934. She preceded him in death as did a stepson, Peter, three brothers and two sisters.
He lived in Colchester, Rock Island and Peoria and worked as a laborer in construction. He was a member of Laborer’s Union, Local 309, UAW and Colchester First Christian Church.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Edith Wardell and Mrs. Alma Dobbs, both of Table Grove; and Mrs. Vona Nelson Frakes of Milan.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday in Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Alfred Noakes officiating. Burial was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery at Colchester.
