Mrs. Dessie A. Wickwire, 89, a lifetime Ipava resident, died at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1974 at Fon Du Lac Manor Nursing Home in East Peoria.
Mrs. Wickwire was born Sept. 2, 1885, at Ipava, the daughter of Theodore and Elizabeth Dorsey Robinson. She married Dr. Herbert L. Wickwire in Lewistown Feb. 5, 1908. He died Oct. 10, 1971. She was a member of the Ipava United Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a son, Donal R. Wickwire of Ipava; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Morgan of Peoria; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a brother, Lloy Robinson of Ipava.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava. Rev. Donald L. Harris officiated and burial was in the Ipava Cemetery.
