Mrs. Elsie Mae Walton, 79, of Astoria, died at 3:15 p.m. Friday in the Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville. She had been ill for about one year.
A resident of Astoria for about 25 years, she was born June 8, 1890 in Schuyler County to Mezzina and Nancy Cloud Walton. She was married to Jessie Walton, who died Sept. 4, 1969.
Mrs. Walton was a member of the Church of Christ, Browning.
She is survived by one brother, Harry Walton, Astoria.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria, with Brother Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in the Bader Cemetery.
