VERMONT — George Washington Welch son of Jefferson and Jane Welch was born in Fulton county, Illinois January 25, 1850, and died at his home near Vermont, July 1, 1920 at the age of 69 years 5 months and 6 days. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. O. W. Rose from the Methodist church in Vermont, Friday afternoon at two-thirty and interment made in Vermont cemetery.

VERMONT — Geo. Welch died Thursday morning at his home two miles northeast of Vermont, aged about 69 years. The funeral services were conducted from the M. E. church Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, Rev. O. W. Rose officiating.
