According to a Chicago paper, Jacob Wolf and seven members of his family were murdered at his home at Turtle Lake, N. D., April 25th.
The only clew is the finding of a pair of overalls and a shot gun in a slough about a mile north of the Wolf home.
Five of the victims were slain in the kitchen of the home, the father was killed in the yard and two daughters in the barn. The only survivor of the family is an infant aged eight months, which was in a cradle.
Wolf had no known enemies and robbery was not the motive for the crime. The Wolf family were relatives of the Hamms of this vicinity.
