JEPTHAH P. WILSON

Obituary.

Died, at his home three miles west of Astoria, Nov. 20, 1894, Mr. J. P. Wilson. The deceased was born in Belmont county, Ohio, in 1818. During his boyhood days he moved with his parents to Knox county, Ohio, where he grew to manhood. He was married in 1840 to Miss Lucy Hollister, there were thirteen children born to them, seven girls and six boys, three of which preceded him to the better land. He moved his family to the west in 1840 and settled in Fulton county. He joined the Methodist church in 1841 and since that time has lived faithful unto the faith that was delivered to the saints, until the Lord said "thy works are finished, enter thou into the joy that has been prepared for those who love and serve me." The funeral took place from the Salem church at 2 o'clock Wednesday, Rev. Slagel officiating. His remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.
