CAROLYN (COX) VAN ANTWERP

Carolyn Van Antwerp

Carolyn Van Antwerp, 79, of Vermont, died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born July 25, 1920, in Vermont, a daughter of Paul J. and Rena Marie Haney Cox. She married Thomas Van Antwerp on Oct. 1, 1994, in Vermont. He died Sept. 20, 1998.

Two brothers also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two stepsons, Thomas Jr. of Rockville, Va., and William of Herndon, Va., two stepdaughters, Mrs. William (Vida) Winkler of Silver Spring, Md., and Claire Van Antwerp of Manassas, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Jack (Doris Jean) Armstrong of Beaverton, Ore.; 10 stepgrandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was a beautician in Canton for 50 years.

She was a member and past president of American Legion Post 16 Auxiliary and Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority.

She also was a member of the Fulton County 8 et 40, the Women of the Moose Chapter 369, the Rebekah Lodge 245 and the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 46.

Services were Friday at Kost Memorial Home with Rev. Jerry Sawyer officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
