ALVIN L. VEITENGRUBER

Alvin Veitengruber

Alvin L. Veitengruber, 61, of Bloomington, died at 4:27 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 1995, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bloomington.

He was born Oct. 19, 1933, in Lucas, Kan., the son of Theodore A. and Jennie Stodolla Veitengruber. He married Dorothy Danner June 12, 1960 in Astoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Linda V. Veitengruber of Aurora; three sons, Alvin D. Veitengruber of Stanford, Richard L. Veitengruber of Bloomington, and Kirk A. Veitengruber of Aurora; one sister, Gloria Henslee of Merkel, Texas; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and one son.

He was a graduate of Brown-Mackey College, Salinas, Kan. He was a self-employed electrical constractor and co-owner and comptroller of D & H Electric and Heating Co. in Bloomington. He was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church in Bloomington and the Normal Masonic Lodge. He participated in The American Passion Play Chorus for many years.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Bloomington. Burial was in the Park Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, 1104 N. Main St., Bloomington, Ill. 61701.
