She was born Sept. 4, 1934, in Macomb Township, McDonough County, the daughter of Milford and Naomi Baughman Allen. She married Verle Thompson on Sept. 14, 1956, in Astoria. He survives.
Also surviving are two brothers-in-law, Harold (and Donna) Thompson of Macomb and Norman (and Jeannie) Thompson of White House, Texas; one sister-in-law Virginia Hall of Virginia, Ill., one cousin, Martha Jansen of Hanna City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, twin brother Lyle Allen and Robert Allen.
She worked as a self-employed housekeeper. She was a homemaker.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Summum Cemetery, Summum with Pastor Matthew Thiner officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
