Kevin TurnerKevin Dale Turner, 66, of Rowlesburg, W. Va. and rural Rushville, died June 21, 2023, at his home.

He was born Oct. 29, 1956, in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of the late Jacob and Ruth Cox Turner.

Surviving are one son, Shiloh (and Hannah) Turner and their son Isaiah of Rowlesburg, W. Va.; one brother, Jacob Craig (and Anne) Turner of South Carolina; and one sister, Lori (and Steven) Turner of Ronceverte, W. Va.

He was originally a Morgantown Firefighter before becoming a local real estate developer and contractor in the Morgantown area.

He was the Founder of The Holy Pursuit’s Dream Foundation, which provides hunting and fishing trips for children suffering from, or have previously suffered from a life-threatening illness at no cost to them or their families. In the last years of his life he made it his mission to make a difference in the lives of children through this Foundation.

Memorial services were held Tuesday at Kingdom: A Community Church in Westover, W. Va., with Pastor Daniel Stronsider officiating. McCulla Funeral Home in Morgantown, W. Va., was in charge of arrangements.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Kevin’s name to Holy Pursuit’s Dream Foundation, 943 Blackberry Hill, Rowlesburg, WV 26425.
