She was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey W. and Norma Elizabeth Schafer Byrnes. She married R. Douglas Taylor on June 17, 1967, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2017.
Surviving are one daughter, Rose Taylor of Rushville; two sons, Russell (and Cynthia) Taylor of Roodhouse and Robert (and Stefanie) Taylor of Rushville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She attended Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and was treasurer for Boy Scout Troop #35 for several years.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Charla Meyers officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
