She was born July 21, 1937, in Beardstown, a daughter of Harry and Alberta Scall Spicer. She married Ralph Lewis Tippey on Sept. 25, 1955, in Beardstown. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2005.
She also was preceded in death by four siblings.
Surviving are one son, Delbert (and Jacalyn) Tippey of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; one daughter, Crystal (and Douglas) Offermann of Abilene; one son, Darold (and Karen) Tippey of Brunswick, Ga.; one sister, Susie Henry of Beardstown; and six grandchildren.
She was a cake decorator.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Summum Cemetery.
