She was born May 7, 1921, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Vail and Clara Ritchey Ward. She married Ansel G. Geer. He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1980. She later married Paul Taylor on March 24, 1981, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1985.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Major Ward; and one sister, Roberta McClelland.
Surviving are one daughter, Georgia (and David) Morrell Grate of Rushville; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She worked at J.C. Penney’s in Rushville and was a nurse’s aide at Culbertson Memorial Hospital for many years until retiring in 1983.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Rushville City Cemetery with Rev. John Sowers officiating.
